180 is the student ministry of Dunwoody United Methodist Church.

Ushers Needed

We still need a few youth to serve as ushers for Youth Sunday on May 20th in both the 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. traditional worship services. Ushers help greet people, pass out bulletins, and pass the offering plates. There will be no youth Sunday School that morning, so if you will be in worship with your families, consider serving as an usher!

Email Lane (lane.davis@dunwoodyumc.org) if you'd be willing to serve the church on Youth Sunday.

UM Children's Home Donations

Help us support the North Georgia United Methodist Children's Home with your donations. Josh Jackson, a 180 Senior, is heading up a donation drive to support this great organization of our church.

Items that are needed:

Diapers

Baby toys (new or used in good condition)

A donation box is set up outside of the 180 Youth Area in the Youth Cafe. Items will be collected through May 17th.

Puerto Rico Mission Trips Team Meetings

If you are serving on a High School mission team to Puerto Rico, please plan to be at a team meeting on either May 16th at 5:30 p.m. in the Epworth Room (2nd floor above youth area) or on May 20th at 11:45 a.m. in the Youth Area. Note: you do not have to attend both meetings, only one. These are important meetings where we will go over information pertaining to the trip.

Atlanta Braves

180 goes to Turner Field! Sign up now by emailing Lane at lane.davis@dunwoodyumc.org. All students in grades 6 – 12 are invited. Sign up today as space is limited.

Mission Team Meetings

Meetings for Middle School and Senior High Mission Teams:

Mission trips are fast approaching and there are important details that need to be gone over for both parents and students. we are having a series of Mission Team meetings. We request that all student participants and at least one parent attend. If you are not able to attend, please make sure to have someone representing you that can pass along notes and important info.

Middle School Mission Team Meeting:
May 6th @ 11:45 a.m. in 180 Youth Area

High School Mission Trip Meeting:
May 16th @ 5:30 p.m. in the Epworth Room
OR
May 20th @ 11:45 a.m. in the 180 Youth Area

(note: both Senior High team meetings will discuss the same topics – you only need to attend one)

What is 180 Youth?

Welcome to 180 Youth, a student ministry of Dunwoody United Methodist Church!

What is 180?

180 means change. Turning around. It means that when students have genuine encounters with Christ, nothing stays the same.

180 means coming as you are. We do cool stuff all the time. Basketball, Laser Tag, trips down half-mile long zip lines, arcade tournaments, never ending games of ping pong. It means that we think having fun is as much a part of our faith as being serious. It means we eat food together (a lot of pizza). 180 means that all are welcome.

180 also means we worship. Wednesdays and Sundays. And Special services during the church’s holiest days. Sometimes its loud and messy and unorganized. Sometimes its quiet and solemn. We laugh and cry and have encounters with a living God. We worship.

180 means growing through relationships. We have small groups and Sunday School. We meet together to be with friends and to be with God.

We serve together. In our own backyard and across the world. 180 means that we are called to live our faith and to love our neighbors; those in our backyards and those a thousand miles away.

Above all, 180 is a place where we find genuine change through Christ. Come find out what it means to experience real difference in your life.
