At 180, we take our Youth Choir very seriously. In a fun and awesome kind of way.
Picture this: 100 youth in grades 6-12 putting on mouse ears and singing Disney songs for a packed house of over 500. Yep, did that.
Or how about singing some of our favorite tunes from Broadway on the beaches of Lake Ontario as the sun sets… did that too.
Or visiting a nursing home to brighten the day of some residents…or helping build fences on a horse farm…and how about those grueling six hour rehearsals when the tour is ALMOST HERE but then it’s so worth it in the end.
At 180, Youth Choir isn’t just something extra we do, it’s at the very heart and soul of our youth program. Every Sunday night, 100 youth and parents gather in the choir room, led by our Youth Choir director Mark Lamback, to rehearse music for Sunday services, special events, and our annual Summer Youth Choir Tour.
Everyone is invited – we’re a family deep down. Think you don’t have a musical bone in your body? Come anyway…you might be surprised.
