Club 45

What is it and why do we have it? Club 45 is a new ministry for preteens in 4th and 5th grades. It is designed to meet the changing needs of this group of youth who often hunger for something different from younger children, but they are not developmentally ready for Youth Ministries. Club 45 helps to bridge the gap that preteens feel as they transition from their elementary to teenage years, by using a format similar to youth programs, but with subject matter and activities that address their age appropriate needs and issues. In order to best meet those needs, Club 45 is designed as a holistic ministry, including Sunday school, Preteen Youth Fellowship and Special Events, providing youth a place to experience their faith and their church community in a fuller, deeper and more meaningful way.

HOMEWARD BOUND: Room 250
We'll be talking about friendship, loyalty, and adversity as seen in the movie Homeward Bound. We'll explore what it means to be a good friend and what the Bible says about friendship.

SERVING GOD, SAVING THE PLANET: Room 245
Join us as we learn about about how as Christians, we are called to care for God's creation. We'll discuss practical ways we can be good stewards and how our choices matter, not only to us, but to others and even for generations to come.

SECRET SANCTUARY SAINTS: Room 243
What does it mean to serve others? How does God call us to be servants? How can we serve others? In Secret Sanctuary Saints, we'll explore these and many other questions as we use our time, gifts, and talents in service of our families, church, community, and world.

JW & CO: Room 240
How is a dead English guy important to us today? In JW & Co, we'll be learning about John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. In exploring the history of the Methodist movement, we'll learn about who we are as United Methodists today.

Our Mission is to grow our youngest Dunwoody UMC members into Disciples of Christ through study, programming, and activities. We want to foster Christian friendships between the children and provide an environment for spiritual growth in Christ. Dunwoody UMC children's ministry partners with parents in establishing a conviction in the children to ask Christ into their lives, and enter into a journey of knowing Jesus.
