Dunwoody UMC welcomes adults of all ages and provides specific education, social and volunteer programs for those 55 and older. Our Senior Adult Ministry provides mutual Christian support, fellowship and service opportunities throughout the year. We invite adults of all ages to get involved in a Sunday school class and attend special programs for our older members. Guests are always welcome at Senior Adult events.

Small Groups

Pryme Tymers

The Pryme Tymers, with representatives of each DUMC Senior Ministry, coordinates Fifty-Five Plus activities, educational offerings and social events. For information, contact Ann Stone at 770-399-1887.

Hall of Famers

This group of senior men gathers on the second Friday of each month at DUMC for a good southern breakfast, in the Epworth Room from 9:00a.m.-10:30 a.m. The meeting provides a time for these men to enjoy good christian fellowship, stimulating conversation and they invite an occasional guest speaker. They also participate as volunteers for DUMC events and they support outreach missions throughout the world.

PALS (Perimeter Adult Learning)

A $50 fee covers up to three classes each Monday for eight weeks, or you can visit for one time for $8. Classes range from Financial Planning and Bridge for Beginners to Shakespeare’s Henry V and the Holy Land. For more information, visit palsonline.org or call 770-698-0801

New Friends

New Friends is a group of widowed men and women who stay connected with DUMC and friends by meeting monthly for lunch at a local restaurant. Reservations are required. For more information, contact Betty Moreland at 770-641-8519.

Bridge on Thursdays
