Sunday Morning Children's Ministry

Preschoolers 9:00 and 10:30 (Ages 3-5 by September 1)

spark

Spark! Lighting the fire of God's Love in Preschoolers Sunday Morning for 3 through 5 year olds provides a safe and secure environment where preschoolers grow in their relationships with God, their Leaders and their Peers. First Look curriculum is designed for young children to know 3 things:

  1. God Made Me.
  2. God Loves Me.
  3. Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever

In Small Group, children interact with their Small Group Leader (SGL) in age appropriate activities until Large Group starts. Songs, Bible Stories, The Key Concept or Bottom Line and the Memory verse for the month are all part of Large Group. After Large Group, children go back to classrooms for reinforcing activities and prayer – each hour different from the other for those who stay both hours.

Kdg-5th grade

9:00 Worship and Small Groups: Children attend worship with their families. Partway into the Traditional and The Contemporary services, children are released to their Small Group leaders for activities that reinforce the scripture lesson read in worship each week.

On all 1st Sundays, children stay in the service with families so kids and parents can celebrate Holy Communion together.

PluggedIn

10:30 Plugged In! Plug into the Power Source - Sunday Small Group/Large Group/Small Group curriculum called 252 Basics is used so students learn 3 important concepts:

  1. I can trust God no matter what.
  2. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
  3. I need to make the wise choice

This Small Group/Large Group/Small Group format allows elementary students to bond with their Small Group Leader (SGL) and Peers (10 or less in each group), before moving to Large Group, where worship and Bible lessons take place. Visuals, live action and fun music keep students engaged during the 20-minute session. After Large Group, all groups return to their Small Group locations to discuss how the scripture reference and story for the day can apply to daily life. Your children will BEG you to come to Church on Sunday!
