2017 UMW BOOK CLUB READING SELECTIONS

The UMW Book Club is excited to announce the 2017-2018 selections. This year’s books cover current topics that will increase our knowledge of North Korea, encourage critical thinking about economic issues facing us today and increase our sensitivity to the suffering of others and remind us of the role Christian women have played in history. Participation in the book club will qualify you for certification in the UMW Reading Program. However, the Book Club is open to all women of the church. Meetings are held in the evenings. Please join this intergenerational group of women for stimulating conversation and a healthy exchange of viewpoints. Contact Barbara Giametta, This email address is being protected from spambots. The author has accepted a job teaching English to the sons of the ruling class. It offers a moving and rare glimpse of life in the world’s most unknowable country.
