WHO ARE PRYME TYMERS? If you are 55 or older, you are one! We welcome all seniors from Dunwoody United Methodist Church and the surrounding community to participate in as many of the Senior Ministries as possible, and to join us in any or all of our upcoming activities.

“Pryme Tymers provides mutual Christian support, fellowship, and opportunities for service for senior members of Dunwoody United Methodist Church and the community through programs consistent with the overall mission of our church”


 

 

PRYME TYMERS COUNCIL

The Pryme Tymers Council is made up of representatives from each Senior Ministry of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. The Council coordinates the activities of the Senior Ministries and plans and implements educational and social events. Activities are open to all senior adults. HALL OF FAMERS

The Hall of Famers is a group of senior men who perform hands-on construction and repair work that serve the needs of Dunwoody United Methodist Church and the community. They also support outreach programs throughout the world. Call Dick D'Ardenne, 770-394-6059.

 
PALS (PERIMETER ADULT LEARNING)

PALS is an interfaith organization offering a wide range of adult learning classes for adults over 50. Classes cover such subjects as current events, history, health, finance, art, travel, bridge, and more. PALS has quarterly sessions that are rotated among the Perimeter area Churches. Classes are conducted during the day, on Mondays, in eight week sessions. Registration is $40 for as many classes as you wish to take in any given session, or one day sessions are available for $7. Lunch is optional for an additional reasonable charge. For information, call Lee Smith, 770-698-0801.

 

 
ATLANTA FOOD BANK VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers travel to the Food Bank and pack food on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. They meet in the lobby of the Activities Building at 8:30 AM and return to the church at 12:30 PM. SENIORCIZERS

Seniorcizers is a free, coed exercise class offered to seniors each Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and on Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The classes are held in the exercise room at Dunwoody United Methodist Church and are led by Mary Goodman, a certified instructor for seniors. NEW FRIENDS

New Friends is a group of widowed men and women who have dinner together the second Friday of each month at various restaurants. Join New Friends for fellowship and good food.
