"TAKE CARE OF MY SHEEP" - JOHN 21:16

 

In John 21:16, Jesus asks Peter if he truly loves him. Peter answers “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you”. Then Jesus tells Peter to “Take care of my sheep”. This is the biblical basis for Shepherd Staff Ministry. We are reaching out to our congregation to offer information or care they may need, because we love Jesus and want to share his love and concern for our church family. We contact our members annually with a personal letter to explain the purpose of our ministry and a follow up local phone call to offer our support. . What this ministry is: 

  1. An act of care and concern for each DUMC family.
  2. An offer to try to answer or find the answer to any questions about our church and its programs.
  3. Relaying - but only with permission - any needs, concerns, or problems with which a family may be faced to the appropriate staff or lay person.

 

We want you to know that the members of DUMC care for one another and are willing to help in any way we can.
