Lent at DUMC

Worship with us

The season of Lent is March 5 - April 17. Join us each Sunday in worship for the Lenten worship series, “Changed from the Inside Out,” and for the many services leading up to and during Holy Week. Join us in-person or watch us online for both our Traditional and Modern Services.

LENT WORSHIP SERIES

Changed from the Inside Out
March 9 - April 13, 2025

Talking about our emotions can be difficult. When it comes to feelings, many of us simply stuff them down, cover them up, and keep going. But, how might our lives and relationships transform if we gave our emotions more attention? Join DUMC this Lenten season, as we dive into the biblical stories that lead to the cross, drawing inspiration and understanding from the emotions of Jesus and his disciples. Together, we’ll learn how spending a little more time with our hearts can bring us closer to God and begin to change us from the inside out.

Chapel Service

Chapel | 8:30 a.m.
Join us for an intimate worship service in the historic Chapel. The service features music, morning prayer and an inspiring message. Holy Communion is served each week.

Modern Worship

Fellowship Hall | 9:00 a.m.
Gather with us for a more relaxed worship featuring our Praise Band, modern Christian music, moving sermons and prayer. Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of each month.

Traditional Worship

Sanctuary | 11:15 a.m.
We invite you to worship in a more formal setting with hymns, music from the Chancel Choir, scripture and engaging sermons. Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of each month.

Great Day of Service

March 22, 2025
9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
The annual Great Day of Service is a local mission opportunity with projects for all ages and abilities. We organize hundreds of volunteers in 18 different mission projects. Most of the projects are at DUMC, such as assembling blessing kits for local charities or the family-friendly Potato Drop, which supplies food to local food pantries. While most of the projects are on campus, some projects are out in the community. This will be DUMC’s 33rd Annual Great Day of Service event!
