Special Needs

It’s a chance for Dunwoody United Methodist Church to shine; a time for God’s light to shine as the church embraces a special community. The Night to Shine is a yearly event at DUMC. It is a shining example of God’s love for people in our community with special needs. Each year, DUMC witnesses the joy this event creates, and we saw an opportunity to serve these special people more than once a year. The result is Connected, where people with special needs find love. On Sunday mornings and one Wednesday each month, volunteers spread God’s love, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The Connected ministry needs more volunteers as the church looks for ways to continue spreading God’s love. It’s the church’s way of connecting with special people; embracing them with a love that spreads in all directions.
