Theater 1548

Performing Arts program

Using both sacred and secular drama and music, the Performing Arts program enriches our understanding of what it means to be human and humane, to be caring and to be responsible members of a community of faith and the community at large. In this way, we glorify God. In addition to providing fellowship and entertainment, the program offers and encourages a rich, intergenerational experience along with opportunities in performance and support activities.

Miracle on 34th Street

“This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really.” So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story. Join DUMC’S Theater 1548 as they bring this holiday classic to the stage.
